First of all, I regret that my blog post hasn't been as regular lately. I have been preoccupied with a great many new changes in my professional life. Some of them I am unable to discuss yet, and others are still in the planning stages.
I can tell you that my partner, Katherine Moore, and I are well into the process of creating our dream school. The Grant Park Academy of the Arts will be a place for children and adults to discover who they are as artists, or to use art to discover who they are. We are planning performances, lectures, lessons of course, and a great summer camp that you might want to look into before it fills up!
Beyond that, I am expanding my own ability to reach people with my words and music. I recently attended the San Francisco Writer's Conference, my first ever writer's convention, and I learned so much about what it takes to succeed as an author today. The best part is that I have already done a lot of what I need to do.
I'd like to tell you more, and I will. In addition to the blog you've known and loved for ten years, I'll also be keeping you tactfully posted on my other doings as co-director of the GPAA and as an author. And don't even get me started on my band, the Front Porch Session Players!
Wow, we're all in for quite a ride. Are you in?
